The Share component is a powerful tool for Mediabank users to share media content with other resources outside the company account. In addition, using Share (Quicklink) makes it possible to share media content with users that are not part of the Mediabank community.
Share enables the user to share/distribute the URL address to the assets with other recipients/users. It is possible to share one or several media files by sending them to a special M-box. M-boxes can be regarded as containers with a predefined destination already configured. The Share tab support one type of M-box named Quicklink. The only M-box that does not contain a predefined address but lets the user decide the destination.
Share (Quicklink) is available from the Meta module in:
- Library - Asset properties (W3)
- Review & Approval - Worklist (W1) and Annotation View (W2)
- Compliance - Annotation View (W2)
Users working in The Library application usually use Quicklink to share media content for a short period with a specific user. When working in Review & Approval and Compliance, there are typically multiple resources involved in the process. The benefit of using these Mediabank applications is freedom of location. None of the users must sit in the same meeting room to perform their tasks. Instead, they can participate in the process from their home office or any other location with internet access.
Quicklink is also very useful when several review board members are traveling and can not participate as normal. Quicklink allows these travelers to experience 100% in the review process simply by using their cellular phones.
How to use Quicklink
How to send:
The user must be located in Library, Review & Approval, or Compliance to use Share (Quicklink).
The Share Tab contains the Quicklink application, but it is also possible to use Quicklink from the action menu. The user must select an asset (mediafile) to enable the Quicklink function. The user can accomplish this in two ways.

Scenario 1:
When the user loads a mediafile (asset) into the mediaplayer, it is automatically selected. Then, click the action menu or select the Share tab from the metamodule (on the right side of the player window).
Scenario 2:
The mediafile is not loaded into the mediaplayer and needs to be selected. First, choose the media file from the Thumb or List view workspaces (W1 or W2) by clicking once on the assets thumb. Then click the Action menu from the thumb or go to workspace three.
The below images illustrate three possible approaches to sending a Quicklink.
First image:
Click on the Action menu in the title module at the top right corner of the mediaplayer. Choose to send or add to Quicklink. "Send Quicklink" will add the media file and prepare to send it immediately. You can also choose "Add to Quicklink" and put the Media file in the transmission queue to later send additional assets. If you have the Share tab open, you will see that the media file will appear in the "Files in M-box" section.

Notice that the M-box section at the bottom of your screen (pull-up tab) will add a number to the Quicklink M-box showing the number of media files sent concurrently. (Quicklink Icon is located to the left of the M-boxes shown in the above image.)
Second image:
As shown, the Action menu is available from the List view (W2) workspace as well. Click on the action menu and send the asset immediately or put it in the queue. The same functionality is also available from the Thumb view (W1) workspace. Each thumb contains an action menu.

And finally, click on the Main menu icon and then click on the Quicklink functions from the Action menu section. To add multiple assets in one operation to the Quicklink queue, select the desired assets by holding the control button (pc) on the keyboard down while clicking once on the different assets. Then select "add to quicklink."

Select active Notification list:
The notification list has several advantages for users sending Quicklinks to the same recipient(s) regularly.
- Create a list and fill in the recipients once. Never do it again.
- Eliminate the possibility of misspelling or forgetting recipients.
- Sending Quicklink to a consultant company or similar but not knowing their address? Use a colleague list that contains the recipients.
The notifications lists exist throughout the Mediabank applications. (Library, Review & Approval, Compliance and, AdEx). In addition, the user can choose to create a notification list from any previous four mentioned applications.
Or, skip the notification list and type in the recipient manually in the box below the notification list.
Write an email/phone address and press ENTER. The system has built-in functions to help you to avoid some spelling mistakes.
Note!
Writing an email/phone number like this is ok and will be shown like this: 0046704123456 or 46704123456 or name@company.xxx
Do not use + sign in front of cell phone numbers. Red text indicates a spelling error.

Write adequate subject and comments. The recipients with a phone number will not see the subject field, only the comments.
Display:
This option is only visible from Review & Approval and Compliance applications.
Choose to add Annotations or not. Clicking the drop-down box will reveal the possible options.
- Your latest annotations - attach your latest annotation with the media file, making it possible for the receiver to respond to that specific comment.
- Discussion or change requests - include only that type of annotation.
- All or None - Include them all or none.
- Internal discussions - are not available for Quicklinks and cannot be distributed.
Make Quicklink active for:
A great feature is a possibility of adding some restrictions to the Quicklink. For example, to avoid unlimited forwarding or the "endless" life of this version, the user can add rules like a limited time frame or some views.
If you know the present version will be replaced within three days and wish to reduce the risk of being used in a future presentation, you can set the end of life for this Quicklink. Choose between hours, days, or months. In our case, it would be natural to specify three days.
Another way of reducing endless sharing/forwarding is to limit the number of times the recipients could view the media clip. Specify the number of views allowed, and the links validation will terminate after the last view.
Download
You can allow the recipient to download the proxy or original media clip by clicking the checkboxes.
Display LTC in Quicklink
It is possible to have Mediabank make the LTC overlay visible to the recipient.
Files in M-box
The media files selected for Quicklink are visualized with a small poster image.
Empty M-box
To remove an asset from the Quicklink queue, click on the X in the upper right corner of the thumb.
Click on the "Empty M-box" button to remove all assets from the queue.
Click on the "Empty M-box" button to remove all assets from the queue.
Execute
Click Execute to send the media content to the recipients. It is only the URLs that are sent to the recipients.
Share with other accounts.
The "Share with other accounts" is a secure way of sharing your media file (asset) with additional resources/companies from an IT management position. Using the share function, the media file(s) is available to your partner with the right to perform a complete review & approval function. As a result, your administrator is relieved from the tedious security tasks to grant access to different companies and manage them.
- You can easily see if the particular media file is shared or not. You can select a previously shared account from the roll-down menu, make a new or edit an existing one.
- You can easily see If the media file is shared since it will show an active sharing list. Click on "New" to create a new sharing list.
- Search for available resources in the drop-down menu that appears. You can select several companies in one list, but only one list can be active. Name the list and click on SAVE.
- The active list is marked Active. To delete the list, click on the X on the left side to remove it.
