This article describes the Mediabank 360 media player and the Navigation module
Once an asset is selected from the worklist (Asset list), it will automatically load a proxy (copy) into the media player. Press the play/pause button at the left bottom of the media window or from the navigation controls in the navigation module below the player to view the media content in the media player.
The Media player is frame accurate. This accuracy enables the user to view the media clip frame by frame and even comment on it with the same accuracy from annotations. Review & Approval and Compliance use Annotations in their collaboration process.
The Compliance and Review & Approval application use annotations to enable multiple users to collaborate and discuss the media content in a review process independent of their location.
The same player in all every Mediabank applications
The below image shows the Library Event implementation of the media player. The media player behavior is consistent throughout the mediabank applications, with a minor difference in the overlays. The overlays adapt to the content loaded into the player. The example overlay below is affected by the content and includes both match time in min:sec and the LTC time.
The simple player bar below the player window consists of the play/pause button followed by the volume button, then followed by a graphic view of the location within the clip. You can drag the white dot in the progress bar to the left or right to rapidly navigate within the clip. The numbers (-0:05) indicates the remaining time in min:sec. If the loaded asset contains (3D/VR) virtual reality functions, the VR symbol will appear. Click the VR icon to view in VR mode. You may need additional equipment to utilize the media clip.
To the end, indicated by a square box, is the toggle switch between the standard (as displayed) and full-size window frame.
The info overlays
The Player module contains two topics, the media player and the overlays. Game clock in LTC (Longitudinal Time Code: 00:00:39:29) and the Match time (78:04).
In the Player/navigation window, you enter the time code referenced to the overlay part of the player window (01:02:46:00). Located in the Sport & Event application, you must use the LTC to navigate. You can not use Match time.??
