Action menu available in Review & Approval and Compliance
From these applications, the typical use is to share media files (asset) with another recipient using Quicklink. Working in these applications usually involves other colleagues or resources and review processes. You can share the media file and its notations with other resources that are:
- Not part of your Mediabank account
- Are traveling without access to Mediabank or their machines.
If you need their comments or approval, you simply send them the Quicklink with your annotations. They can simply respond from their smartphone including their annotations, fully integrated with Mediabank.
Available from the Library
From the Library you can use M-boxes for:
Attachments - is a simple and efficient method to add additional types of important information to an asset. A user is now free to add multiple subtitles in different languages, scripts, project plans, location videos, etc. as an attachment to a single asset. Attachments are available in Library only.
Quicklink (send to others)
Send Quicklink - will immediately open the send Quicklink dialog and attach the assets proxy URL ready for you to add destination details.
Add to Quicklink- will put the asset proxy URL into the shared folder ready for you to send. You have now the option to send the Quicklink or load additional assets. You can send multiple assets to the same destination in one Quicklink.
Download (to local machine/server)
If the user possesses appropriate roles & permissions for the user groups or individuals, the user can download the original asset, a smaller version (proxy), or just the poster image.
M-boxes - Are predefined and pre-configured destinations that provide additional tasks than just sending the media file. M-boxes can log in to secure areas, convert your asset to different formats, and so forth. A typical destination could be Youtube, or maybe an FTP server.
Delete - With the appropriate rights, the user can also delete the loaded asset. The user is given the option to delete the original media file along with its proxy, metadata, and annotations or simply delete the original and keep the proxy as a reference.
These were just a few examples providing a basic knowledge of Mediabank features and services.
