Tips on how search the official log during the Olympics 2018
There is an official log for all OBS Event Feeds produced by logger teams in Paris and Oslo. The loggers use Event Types to log everything interesting from an editorial perspective.
The official log consists of Tagged Events, with an event title built up from four fields:
EVENT TYPE, ATHLETES, DESCRIPTION and KEYWORDS.
You can easily search the logged material in Workspace 4 or 5 (W4/ W5)
When typing "goal canada johns*" in the free text search field, you currently get 26 results (as shown in the example below). This is because it is logged with the event type “goal”, the team “Canada” and the athlete name “Johnston”.
To access the logged material, you can click on an event in the list and press “view clip” at the bottom to see the clip in the player. By checking the boxes on the left side you are selecting clips that you can add directly to a Cliplist or an M-box.
The official Event Types and Keywords are listed in the attached document here.
This document will also show you what type of events that will create Autoclips and what the default duration of the clips are.
