How to find material in Mediabank’s library
- Start by logging into Mediabank at www.mediabank.com, then click on the library application.
2. Mediabank’s search is located on the left-hand-side. It works similar to a Google search in the sense that you may free-text-search, use asterisks and quotation marks, etc. Let’s use an example; Free text searching for “4-stjerners middag 1003” (i.e season 10, episode 03) will give you a result of two assets.
3. If you switch to ‘List View’ (W2) at the top, you’ll see that this program has MediaID 677656_1 and may be used as an identifier for the program. There are multiple identifiers you may use to find exactly what content you are searching for.
4. The easiest way for you to find exactly what you are looking for is to narrow down your search through advanced search. Open advanced search by click the right arrow next to the free text area.
5. In advanced search you can filter down the library to fit certain criteria such as “category” and “program series”.
6. You can save a search for you to quickly narrow down your library at a later time. Simply choose whether the saved search should be available to everybody in for example group “Production Partner: Uhørt” or to non-other than yourself (private). Finally, give the saved search a name and hit save. You may then later on search for your saved searches in advanced search shown under or click the small icon to the left of advanced search (the box).
Note! For more information on library and search, visit our support site at http://www.support.mediabank.com or contact support@mediabank.com
How to download full assets from Mediabank’s library
1. Once you’ve found a full asset you want to download, you need to send it through an M-box. There are several ways to do this. You can for instance click the “hamburger menu” (which is available in all the workspaces) and click “Send to Uhørt FTP”.
2. The M-box will then appear at the bottom of your screen. Click the “Uhørt FTP” M-box to open it up.
Note! You can use notification lists should you want to notify your colleagues about the download. Simply create a notification list (see page 15) and choose it in the dropdown list.
3. Click execute. You will get an e-mail when the download is complete. Finally, go to the area where you can access the content that has been sent to Uhørt’s FTP.
How to download parts of assets from Mediabank’s library
If you don’t need full-length assets, only parts of them, you may do so through a cliplist. Mediabank’s cliplist is a great place to do your rough cuts.
1. To create a cliplist, go to ‘Event View’ (W4 or W5) of the library application, click the “Cliplist” tab and “+ New/Open”.
Note! As far as functionality, Event View and Event View (wide) is the exact same. The only difference is that Event View (wide) has a wider view, where asset search is located at the bottom instead of to the left.
2. Give the cliplist a name and description and choose who should be able to access it. Finally, click “Create list”.
Note! If you are looking for an existing cliplist, simply search for its name under “All lists” and click “load in tab”.
3. Scrub through the player to find the part you want to download. Click “mark in” (keyboard shortcut: i) and “mark out” (keyboard shortcut: o). Give the clip a description and hit “Add to cliplist”.
4. Once you’re satisfied with your clips, select the ones you want to download and click “Add to M-box”.
5. Choose the appearing M-box “Uhørt FTP” by clicking on it, then click it again to open it up.
6. Once you’re done, click execute. You will get an e-mail when the download is complete. Finally, go to the area where you can access the content that has been sent to Uhørt’s FTP.
Note! For more information on cliplists, visit our support site at http://www.support.mediabank.com contact support@mediabank.com.

How to deliver a Dplay promo without a house number (MediaID)
If you’re delivering a Dplay promo and you don’t have the house number (MediaID), you’re supposed to deliver through Mediabank’s uploading application, AdEx.
1. Start by logging into mediabank at www.mediabank.com, then click on the Adex application.
2. Choose whether you want to upload via Aspera Connect plugin, or through your Internet browser’s standard upload. It’s completely up to you, but we do recommend using Aspera as it’s a quicker and more reliable choice.
3. Click the “Add files”-button to the right of Upload to my account.
4. Find and select the file you’re delivering, then choose “Legacy Promo Master DNN (will not send to playout)” as a Destination.
5. Open Tag by pressing the ellipsis and fill in the requested information. Once you’re done, click Done.
6. Tag should now have a checkmark, and you can click Checkout.
7. Make sure the information is correct before Confirming checkout.
Note! You will receive an e-mail once the upload is finished.
How to deliver a promo with a house number (MediaID)
If you’re delivering a promotion master (including a clean master at the end) and you have the house number (MediaID), you’re supposed to deliver to Mediabank’s FTP.
1. If you’re using FileZilla, simply locate the file you’re delivering, then drag it to root directory. Make sure the file is named “MediaID_Version.mxf” (example: 707004_1.mxf).
